Sugar nippers with sprung handles with a locking clasp at the end. The pincers are flat and semi circular. There is a small iron projection inserted into the top handle and the hinging section is engraved.

In kitchens to cut chunks of sugar from the large cone-shaped lumps in which it was supplied before sugar was sold in granulated form.
