The Aquarium will be closed all day on Wednesday 27 April, and reopen from Thursday 28 April.
The figure is encrusted with copper sulphate, exhibiting a brilliant turquoise colour, behind the head there is a round holding devise, at the bottom of the figure there is projection and would suggest that it could have been a stopper. The figure looks as though it is a Falcon wearing a sun disk with a cobra projecting from it, if so this figure represents the Sun God Ra.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
