Carved wooden sweetmeat mould, made or collected in India. The surface of the board has been divided into equal four sections on each side. Each section contains a pattern of repeating and geometrical design. At the top of the board is a narrow handle that widens to three points. On the front and back of the handle is an inscription, in an unidentified script, incised into the surface of the wood. The wood appears to be naturally dark in colour with no pigment or paint added to the board.
