7 identical rectangular samples of tabby woven cotton and silk textile. A single selvedge along one narrow side. Seemingly from a piece of cloth with a brown centre field and a patterned border. The centre field is a balanced tabby weave chequered pattern formed by yellow and black warp and weft stripes. The border consists of an extended tabby weave ground with narrow white chevron stripes worked with supplementary warp threads bound in a twill pattern.
