Carved and painted wooden model figure of man, the occupant of a palanquin. His skin is painted in a paler colour than that that of the bearers. He is seated with his right leg across his left thigh, the right leg down at the front. He wears a lungi which is gathered and tied at the right hand side at his waist. Across his chest is a loop of threads which pass over his left shoulder across his back and chest and round his waist.
