The Aquarium will be closed all day on Wednesday 27 April, and reopen from Thursday 28 April.
Painting within a roundel depicting a domestic scene with a woman holding a large red leaf and presenting to a sage, who is seated and leaning over a ragged rock. They are surrounded by antiquities and a large pot of lotus plants. Outside the roundel the frame is painted with a stylised brocade pattern of interlocking rosettes. Ink and colour on white silk.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
