The Aquarium will be closed all day on Wednesday 27 April, and reopen from Thursday 28 April.
Cuboid pipe bowl made of silvered clay and shaped like a milestone, with inscriptions on both sides. The left side reads 'WHITTINGTON / STONE / HIGHGATE HILL / IV / MILES TO / LONDON', and the right side reads 'R. WHITTINGTON / THRICE / LORD MAYHOR / OF / LONDON / BORN 1350'. Where the stem would have joined the bowl, there is the remains of the head of a small human figure.
