The other side is decorated with an athlete with a loop in front showing a peace dove at one end and a maple leaf at the other, surrounded by the inscription: 'Universiade-Edmonton CANADA 1983 DOLLAR '. Milled edge. Coin contained within a clear perspex casing, within a presentation box covered with a silver cardboard sleeve. Inscription on sleeve reads '1983 Universiade Edmonton, Royal Canadian Mint.'
