The Aquarium will be closed all day on Wednesday 27 April, and reopen from Thursday 28 April.
Aureole formed from a circular section at the top with two narrowing, curved bands attached on lower third, patterned with circular/swirl patterns on front (lacquered in gold colour). Back covered in red pigment. Oblongs made from metal (attached with nail), one detached and missing, which would slot into base section (not present).
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
