Taxidermy case of two adult male and one adult female Wood Sandpiper. According to Edward Hart, writing on 1 May 1927, 'Left (no 1): adult male, August 1883, summer plumage; middle (no 2): adult female, August 19th 1873, summer plumage; right (no 3): adult male, June 1863, summer plumage. Shot by me, no 1 at Mother Sellars Channel, no 2 at Wick House, no 3 at Phyllis Point. All in Christchurch Harbour. Sexes alike. Summer and winter plumage differ. Mounted by me'.
