322.111-5 Arched harps - Wachsmann type 1

Nanga, arched harp with five strings. The body and the lower part of the neck are covered by a piece of hide that is stitched together to form a tight-fitting cover as well as a soundboard. There are two small soundholes. The neck terminates in a finial in the shape of a bearded male face with scars and a horned headdress.
