'Pine Tree' brand melodeon, by the Ludwig Brothers, Germany. No serial number. Bellows embossed: 'Ludwig Accordeon,' and metal corners stamped: 'Gebr. Ludwig Accordeon, Registered trade mark [tree]. Made in Germany.' 10.25" x 5.5" diameter, black wood ends. Right-hand has 10 metal-tipped wood buttons, open metal pallets, three metal reed bank levers labelled: 'Schulze marke,' with a tree. Left-hand has 2 bass and 1 air button. Later straps. Eleven-fold bellows of alternating fold-thickness: 3 thin, 1 thick, etc. Metal corners and dark red papers. Brass reeds.
