Anglo-German system. Serial number 687. Oval paper label: 'Simpson, 266 Regent St, London. Improved Concertina.' 6.25" diameter flat rosewood ends, 3 areas of frets. Right-hand damaged, white cloth backing, white paper area on under-action, sealing base of levers. Straps missing, brass screws. 23 keys: left-hand 10 + 1 black accidental, right-hand 10 + 1 black accidental + 1 air. Broad flat ivory, stamped 1-10 each side. Five-fold green leather bellows with gold star papers. Round-end brass reeds.
