Sitar. Gourd back, wood (walnut?) on shoulder up to panel of bone inlay below the highest fret. Table and hollow neck of same type of wood. 17 curved moveable metal frets tied to neck. 5 playing strings pegged from the head. 2 cikari strings pegged from side of neck. Pegs are all the same shape .Bone stringing round table, bone panel impressed with concentric circles at top of head and table.Two nuts, one with holes through which strings run, other for strings to run over. Very good condition.
