Ghungroos are used in Classical Indian dance. Ghungroo jingles give a musical sound to the steps of the dancer. They are used in classical Indian dance such as kathak ,odissi, and bharatnatyam. A child dancer may wear jingles of 40 little bells but an adult’s bells may be as many as 200 bells.
