Iseyin is very close to the savanna belt of Nigeria. It is not a tropical region like the Ondo and Ijebu region which means some cash crops cannot be cultivated in the area. However, it is an arid region suitable for the growth of grains like maize, guinea corn, vegetables like pumpkin, pineapple and many more. The farm is very neat but there is an appearance of lack of rainfall or water on the farm. From the picture, most of the crops are drying up and needs water. It is not helped by the rock boulders on the farm either.\n\nThe gourd with the farmer might be for one of two reasons. The very first to serve as a watering vessel for the farmer to water the crops that needs it. The pineapple in the picture has shown signs that it lacks water as the leaves have turned yellow and it might die if there is no adequate rainfall or water for it to survive.
