Press cutting about the purchases made by Mr. Horniman while in India for the Museum

A press cutting describing Mr. Horniman purchasing objects such as; pottery, metal work, wood work, and ivory carvings from India for the Museum. The objects are expected to arrive later in the year and will be placed on display at once. Cities in which he has purchased the objects are; Bombay, Jaipur, Delhi, Agra, Lucknow, Benares, and many more.

These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
