Horniman Teachers List 1949-1978 and other historical information on the Horniman Museum's educational work from 1902 to the late1970s

List of names of teachers at the Horniman Museum from January 1949 to December 1978, including typescripts of brief biographies, reminiscences and letters from several of the teachers who worked at the Museum during the 1970s. Also attached is a graph showing the numbers of children visiting the Museum in organised parties from 1950 to 1976; a brief history of teachers' courses at the Horniman Museum between 1902 and 1914 and a list of lectures delivered to teachers at the Museum from 1902 to 1938 by A.C. Haddon, Professor Geddes, Dr H.S. Harrison and others; a brief history of the Laura Emslie Horniman Cup Competition and a list of winners of the cup between 1952 and 1974; a list of Children's Christmas Lectures delivered at the Museum between 1957 and 1977; and the top results of a 1964 poll where school children visiting the Museum selected their favourite exhibit.
