Letter in regards to Crank violin for sale, is rare early specimen of the 17th century of violin when the English instrument makers were changing from viola to violin. Author suggests violin belongs in a museum. Notes made at top of letter by Richard Quick for haggling price of the violin. Written on headed paper of Joseph Baker, agent of the Midland Railway Company. Last page unreadable as adhered to scrapbook page.
