Study Collections Centre (former Dreadnought School, Greenwich)

Includes correspondence and reports the suitability of the building being used as a store for the Horniman's reserve collections, the addition of extra halls and classrooms to accomodate the expanding collection, possible sale of the building by the Education Authority, proposals for the development of Dreadnought as a museum store, the transfer of property to the museum due to the abolition of the Inner London Education Authority (ILEA). Also includes second tranche of papers comprising the museum's response to a proposed trunk road passing close to the Study Collections Centre in 1997, connected to the Port of Greenwich Developments. This includes: Environmental Statement; Summary of proof of evidence on air quality; summary of proof of evidence on noise and vibration; fax regarding dust'; general papers regarding impact of proposed A102(M) on SCC.
