The Aquarium will be closed all day on Wednesday 27 April, and reopen from Thursday 28 April.
Two naga, one to either side of the turtle on which rests the stability of the earth. These are at the base of the tower, which represents the universe. The world-turtle, Badawang Nala is flanked by the two dragon-snakes, Naga Basuki and Naga Anantaboga. They represent the physical needs of mortal men. See Eisner Volume 1 page 119.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
