Lid for quasi-rectangular wooden pen-box with rounded ends, formed of a tray which slides into an ouetr casing. At one end of the tray is a fitted brass ink-pot with a small round hinged mother of pearl lid with an openwork cartouche and engraved details. Interior and exterior heavily decorated with floral pattern in lacquer. Called a "kalamdan".
