English guitar signed ‘Rauche, London 1764’. Eleven strings, 5 double courses and 1 single course, twelve inset brass frets, peg box tuning, with its own capotasto of ivory and ebony, intact and attached by an ivory-headed wing screw. A gilded metal rose showing a women playing a stringed instrument in the centre, the rose orientated across the instrument rather than up and down.
