The Aquarium will be closed all day on Wednesday 27 April, and reopen from Thursday 28 April.
Hen's egg decorated for Easter with applied light brown wax over a design drawn on in black. The design divides the egg into four with bands running on four sides along the length of the egg, while a band of circles and oval shapes runs around the width. The spaces between depict double stems of ears of wheat.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database. Some of this is incomplete and there may be errors. This part of the website is also still under construction, so there may be some fields repeated or incorrectly formatted information.
