Wooden Garuda Wisnu temple figure, patung, painted gold. Small carved and painted wooden figure of the god standing on a plinth on the back of a large figure of his vehicle, Garuda, between its wings and in front of its upturned tail. The bird figure is heavily carved with feather shapes all over the body and wings, the upright tail divided into five sections by grooves. It is set on a large integral plinth heavily carved with foliate and floral shapes. The Dewa Wisnu figure carries a shield or cakra in his right hand; his left arm is bent with his hand flat against his body, pointing downwards. The plinth between the figure and the bird is flat at the front, curved behind, carved on all sides with foliate motifs painted gold. Square pegs project above and below, the lower one larger fits a sqaure socket in the back of the bird figure, the smaller fits into a socket in the base of the Vishnu figure.
