Shadow puppet of Pandu, the Pandawas’ father, of carved and painted leather. The flesh is painted pink, the costume in a variety of colours, with pierced decoration. The headdress has a large back wing with a garuda image within. A stick for support is split into two part way down, and attached to either side of the body of the puppet, unsplit in the lower portion which is rounded. Both arms are articulated, each attached to a stick for manipulation.
