Wooden toy in the form of a Malay house. The house stands on stilts, and has 2 movable sets of steps. The larger part of the 2 gabled roof can be taken off to allow for access to the interior of the house consisting of 3 connected rooms. The doors on each shorter side are aligned with the 2 interior doorways. The 7 windows and doors have hinged shutters. The short cream and blue 'curtains' above each are threaded onto wire, and attached with nails. One of the windows in the central room has a section of lace attached like a net curtain. The walls are constructed from sections of wood secured between the upright beams. At the bottom and top of the windows are sections of 'fencing' (to create a cross draft?). This is repeated in the shadow of the lower gables. The roof appears to be covered with palm fronds held in place with wooden crossbars.
