hat (clothing: headwear)

Cream hat in pillbox form, with low sides and flat crown of felted beige woollen cloth with a front panel of cloth decorated with geometric motifs in polychrome: red, pink, blue, green, yellow and white. The panel is surrounded by an inner border of a tinsel band and a narrower outer border of white striped with red which is contrived as piping around the hat rim. Maroon cotton lining. Bought in Dharamsala bazaar.
