Red wool fez which has likely been given the cone shape during the felting process. The change of colour within the cut rim of the textile suggests the use of natural brown wool as the base. Thin layers of red wool appear to have been applied over the top for the colouring. According to the collector, the stiffened to indicates that it is not handmade.
