Backstrap loom (e RARI). Two large and five small, thin wooden or bamboo struts (six of which are numbered individually), all connected by a loose warp of cream and brown yarn fibres (probably wool). The textile is a rari, a traditional woven woollen blanket, and is woven in a houndstooth pattern.

These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
