Cream-coloured silk Maltese lace collar worked in 5 sections which are stitched together. The inner-most section consists of a band of floral motifs, followed by a pattern resembling ears of corn. This is followed by a band with 8 circular motifs containing the Maltese cross on a ground consisting of 6-petalled motifs. The outer section of the textile consists of circular motifs alternatively containing floral motifs and Maltese crosses. This creates a scalloped edge with picot detailing. A small band of the floral motifs identical to the innermost band is also attached to form each end of the collar.
