The Aquarium will be closed all day on Wednesday 27 April, and reopen from Thursday 28 April.
Woman's dragon coat, with eight circular dragon motifs embroidered over the coat with couched gold thread and detailing in green silks on a dark blue satin background. Embroidered in the same materials along the hem with motifs of mountian above waves with dragons rising from the sea. Central front opening secured by two ties at chest. Sleeves have panel to deepen, apparently added after original manufacture. Lined with pale blue figured silk damask.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
