churning container; lid (food processing & storage)

The lid of a container used for churning butter, turned in a soft, light coloured wood. The lid is a flat-topped cone, with the wide end forming the top and is blocked with a small hole in the centre of the top. The lid has some grooves turned around the circumference near the top of the lid.

These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
