sleeve; textile

Linen sleeve with blackwork and appliqué. The blackwork is confined to the outer half of the sleeve. A dark green thread is introduced in the two bands at the bottom of the textile, and dark blue tufts made of wool hair (?) have been applied using a half hitch to the bottom edge. The upper part of the sleeve has a border, and includes 'T' and inverted 'T' motifs within a zig zag pattern. This band is flanked by a strip of red cotton fabric.
