Bowl. Somewhat compressed globular form with short, slightly concave neck and everted rim with inside bevel; the colour is black inside and out and is produced by placing the pot into rice chaff while still hot. The outside of the pot is still glazed this effect being produced by rubbing damar gum on the still hot vessel. A small conical lid with a flat knob closed the mouth. Such vessels are used to store rice and to cook in. 7 1/4"h, 6 3/8"diam.
