The Aquarium will be closed all day on Wednesday 27 April, and reopen from Thursday 28 April.
Boat-shaped water container of palm leaf. The water container is constructed by folding both ends of the leaf over to create a U shaped profile, these ends are then pierced through with a pair of vegetable fibre rings which are wrapped around a handle of wood.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database. Some of this is incomplete and there may be errors. This part of the website is also still under construction, so there may be some fields repeated or incorrectly formatted information.
