Two piece composite spear, with a tapering head of black palm wood socketed into a shaft of cane, each roughly half the length of the spear. The join is heavily bound with a split bamboo wrapping, over-painted with black paint. The shaft is decorated with four hoops of dark red paint, between the first and second of which there is a complex tubular panel of black curvilinear decoration. The lower node of the cane has been left hollowed to a depth of 1 cm to permit use with a spear thrower.
