Go on an imaginative, interactive journey with the Horniman walrus in search of a seahorse. Together we will explore a pond, the Amazon river and the ocean, and encounter some of the animals that live there.<\/p>\n

Arctic Adventure (Reception and Year 1)<\/h3>\n

Take an exciting, imaginary trip to the Arctic to encounter some of the amazing animals that live there, and learn about traditional Inuit life.<\/p>\n

Around Africa (KS1)<\/h3>\n

Discover the natural and cultural diversity of the African continent. We\u2019ll visit a busy market in an African city, learn about the people and animals of the Maasai Mara wilderness and explore African toys through play.<\/p>\n

Animals and their Habitats (KS1)<\/h3>\n

Explore different habitats, the animals that live there and how their amazingly adapted bodies help them survive. We\u2019ll think about some of the challenges these creatures face in our changing world and what we can do to help them.<\/p>\n

Toys (KS1)<\/h3>\n

Play with traditional toys from around the world in this fun workshop, from storytelling dolls to pendulum toys. Together, we will explore the materials, mechanisms and history of these exciting objects.<\/p>\n

Rainforest People and Animals (KS2)<\/h3>\n

Immerse yourself in the rainforest habitat, encounter animals that live there and learn about the lives of the people who call it their home. We\u2019ll discuss the importance of rainforests, the threats to their existence and consider the consequences locally and globally.<\/p>\n

  Learn about the modern and ancient history of Benin City through the artwork of the Edo people. Explore the symbolism and significance of Benin Bronzes, the stories that they tell, and debate their place in UK museums today.<\/p>\n

The prize is one outreach visit to your school comprising a maximum of three class sessions on one subject chosen from our current outreach offer, on the condition that the classes are part of the same bubble.
